Rachel London, born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida, is ecstatic to be covering the role of Lizzy in Bach’s “Coffee Cantata” with West End Lyric!

Currently, Rachel is enrolled in the Classical Vocal Performance (Opera Emphasis) program at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she is fortunate to be under the guidance of Kathryn Wright.

Rachel’s journey has been enriched by her participation in numerous summer intensives, both virtual and in-person. Her experiences range from notable programs like Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard at Nord Anglia to Varna International Music Academy. One highlight of her journey was her debut in the role of Suor Genovieffa in Puccini’s opera “Suor Angelica” in Varna, Bulgaria and Italy.

In addition to her classical pursuits, Rachel also had the chance to collaborate with the a cappella group Voctave, which she holds dearly. Her involvement in various aspects of the music world extends to assisting with admission interviews, where she enjoys engaging with prospective conservatory students.

One of Rachel’s significant achievements was her debut as Fortuneteller in a new opera, “Mondo Novo,” at the Vienna Summer Music Festival where she had the opportunity to interact with accomplished faculty members like Kirsten Chambers, a Metropolitan Opera Artist. Overall, Rachel London’s journey reflects a deep passion for music, a commitment to excellence, and a diverse array of experiences that are shaping her into a well-rounded and accomplished soprano in the classical music world.
