L'amico Fritz

This exciting new concept and staging by Creative Producer Jessica Bloch-Moisand stars Boston’s most acclaimed local talent: tenor Michael Gonzalez as Fritz Kobus, soprano Hannah Shanefield as Suzel, and baritone David Smyth as Rabbi David.

Re-set in 1962 in Alsace, we find an assimilated Jewish community. They are supported by a Jewish gentleman farmer, Fritz Kobus, and his best friend, Rabbi David. Fritz is determined that he will be forever alone, dedicated solely to his farmland and friends. Rabbi David bets that he can find Fritz a wife and, sure enough, Suzel shows up on his doorstep! Will the Rabbi win the bet? Will Fritz find love with Suzel after all? You’ll have to see the show to find out!

Reception follows the Performance.
